/ Bauhaus Weimar

The colonization mechanism as an open tool for real-time planning attempts to reprogram Amyntaio – a former mining area – , within the framework of its environmental, economic and social sustainability. It attributes to the cultural landscape the ability to evolve and organise itself as a natural organism by storing environmental information and actively reorganising its structure when needed. By mapping the landscape’s affordances the mechanism has the capacity to monitor its sociospatial metabolism in real time.
