The commissioned projects serve as in-between places, directly inspired by the dense historical, industrial, and mythological context of the city of Elefsis. The exhibition showcases how these spatial objects of in-betweenness initiate new mental and spatial connections from the individual to the collective experience and from the city’s ancient to the modern character. The various research and design approaches have led to the emergence of new methodologies that explore the concept of in-betweenness, its multiple aspects, and entanglements. The emerging methodologies further intensify and extend existing identities, spaces, and tensions within the city organising new connections and networks.
